Refractory material is a kind of material that can withstand a certain temperature. It is an inorganic non-metallic material with a refractory degree of not less than 1580 ℃ and can resist high temperature sudden change and slag erosion and can withstand high temperature load.

Refractory Brick

According to the shape of the refractory material is divided into shaped refractory material and unshaped refractory material, as long as the brick body is shaped refractory material, unshaped refractory castable, refractory ramming material, refractory spray paint and other materials. According to the use of refractory materials, it is divided into ordinary refractory materials and special refractory materials. Ordinary refractory materials are mostly processed from common refractory materials, and are divided into acidic, neutral and alkaline according to chemical characteristics. Special refractory materials are mostly combined by ceramics or inorganic non-metallic materials combined on the basis of ceramics, with high melting point, high refractoriness and better characteristics in high temperature environment.

A wide range of refractory materials, a wider range of applications, common refractory materials are the following:

Clay brick, made of refractory clay or kaolin and clay clinker with clay, formed by semi-dry or plastic method and roasted at 1250-1420 ℃. The refractoriness of clay brick is generally 1580 ℃-1750 ℃, and the load softening temperature is 1250 ℃-1450 ℃. Common clay brick has national standard clay brick, hot blast stove with clay brick.

High alumina brick, with natural high-grade bauxite as raw material, which contains minerals such as diaspore, baume, kaolinite, etc., in high alumina clinker to add soft or semi-soft clay as binder to start ingredients, mixing, and then molding, drying, and finally firing. The refractoriness of high alumina brick is about 1770 ℃, and the load softening temperature is 1420 ℃-1550 ℃. Common high alumina bricks are LZ-65, LZ-55, LZ-48 and so on.

Mullite brick, with mullite as the main crystal phase of silica-alumina refractory products, the general alumina content between 60%-75%. According to the production process is divided into sintered mullite brick and fused mullite brick.

Corundum brick, a refractory product with corundum as the main crystal phase. Common corundum brick has white steel jade brick, brown corundum brick, chrome corundum brick and so on.

Clay castable is made of refractory clay clinker as aggregate, alumina powder and soft clay binder are added, mixed and stirred for more than 5 minutes by mixer according to the formula proportion, and the use temperature is generally 1300-1450 ℃.

High alumina castable, with high bauxite clinker as aggregate, refractory clay as powder, adding aluminate cement and sodium tripolyphosphate according to the proportion of the formula with mixed refractory castable, the use temperature of 1400-1550 ℃.

High alumina spray coating, mullite, corundum fine powder, high bauxite as the main raw material, by adding additives, binders, etc. in accordance with a certain proportion of equipped, mixed and stirred refractory spray coating, can be used for high temperature kiln lining spraying.

The low-temperature curing potting material is a refractory potting material prepared by mixing mullite, pyrocarbonate, kyanite, sillimanite, silicon carbide, etc. as the main refractory raw materials, adding powder and binder according to a certain proportion. The curing and condensation can be completed under the working conditions of 100-300 ℃ without high temperature sintering, forming a high refractory material with high strength, low linear change rate, no shrinkage, no expansion, and airtightness.

Silicon carbide ramming material, with silicon carbide, graphite, anthracite as the main raw material, adding ultra-fine powder and other additives, fused cement or resin as binder made of amorphous refractory material, can be used for blast furnace, boiler, rotary kiln and other high temperature kiln.

Common refractory materials are refractory bricks and refractory castables of unshaped refractory materials, refractory spray coatings and refractory ramming materials. Suitable refractory materials can be selected according to the use requirements and kiln environment for lining and repair of different high-temperature kilns.
